Just a smaller POS. I had a 78 LTDII coupe. Same platform as the Cougar and also a POS.
Seems like the Mustangs and GM A bodies (Monte carlo, etc.. ) were the few American cars that survived the 80s. |

![]() Lincoln Mercury cars sure do bring back a bunch of old memories. Good thread, I had to look up a couple of the cars mentioned, just before my time. Cars had a short life back then, at least in the rust belt.

Years ago I had a '68 Cadillac Coupe de 'Ville. It was a great car and everyone loved it. The 472 would push it very well and the handling was surprising good. I'm looking for another one right now but the price for good ones is crazy.

My '70 Cougar XR7 in 1975. Loved that car. 351C 4V Holley, cam, headers alum intake manifold.
