Anyone remember the Breezeway rear windows? I remember laying on the top of the rear seat, absolutely nothing that would stop me from sliding off the trunk lid and end up on the road.

This looks just like her 1963, at least as well as I can remember it.

A BIL had one of those. He was a Mercury man up until he bought the 73 Cougar wagon. It was such a POS that his next vehicle was a K car!

Just a smaller POS. I had a 78 LTDII coupe. Same platform as the Cougar and also a POS.
Seems like the Mustangs and GM A bodies (Monte carlo, etc.. ) were the few American cars that survived the 80s.

Lincoln Mercury cars sure do bring back a bunch of old memories.

Good thread, I had to look up a couple of the cars mentioned, just before my time.

Cars had a short life back then, at least in the rust belt.

Here is my 1972 continental. Sold it as the wife said I could have 3 parking spots in the pole barn. Replaced it with the Datsun 260z and the 1989 mazda rx7 turbo in the same spot
I do miss driving the boat from time
To time.

Yes. A bucket list car. As long as I don't get driven to a wrecking yard.

A friend of mine has one of those. I need to score a ride in it sometime. Great lines.

Years ago I had a '68 Cadillac Coupe de 'Ville. It was a great car and everyone loved it. The 472 would push it very well and the handling was surprising good. I'm looking for another one right now but the price for good ones is crazy.

My '70 Cougar XR7 in 1975. Loved that car. 351C 4V Holley, cam, headers alum intake manifold.

Car was fast for the time.

I think you can add a year on both ends. I think it was 5 year run.

Simple, clean lines, compared to others of that era. I like it.

You're probably 1000 pounds heavy on the weight.
