That is the difference from a button pusher, and someone that cares enough to try to take a good photo.

What fish? I see a fish head. Did a shark take the back half? HAHAHA

Hopefully, he's a better fisherman than photographer!

Why don't you get a proper boat? One on a trailer, with a motor, and a cool name.

A truly gifted fishing photographer such as myself will also throw in some forced perspective gratis. This Chinook/King Salmon in this pic I took is large, but not THAT large... the scale of my buddy's hand near the tail gives it away.

PS: What I see in your pic looks good in terms of gear, nothing to trim... personal protective/safety gear looks right on, a rod, a net, a kill bag, a fish finder, a little tackle box. I guess you could leave the gopro at home but otherwise you look appropriately geared up to me. Also love the color of that ling!

I use "arm extenders" when holding a fish for the camera... always !

I have never photographed a fish, but I do draw pictures of them if others need to see 'em...

I draw bigly

No idea what most of that stuff is but I suspect if your buddy threw a diet coke in your direction and you caught it, you'd capsize.

Good of you for buddying up and being geared properly.
Have you considered https://boardandkayak.com/article/kayak-outriggers-1669763630653

Young summer camp me could do eskimo rolls all day long even without a paddle.
Old me promptly toppled over several times, and could barely squeeze into the thing despite sub 1" layer over the greater trochanter.

You definitely didn't skip shoulder day

It all looks quite essential and actually impressive. We're just poking fun.
I catch fish in my canoe wearing nothing but cutoffs and a tank top but I'm not on the ocean :^)

How far out are you?

I don't see any land around in your picture.

Here is what my camera captured. That fish wasn’t too far off shore. 1/4 mile?
