You totally failed as a man by not providing a 3# sledgehammer...To get things done!

So do I. I usually have about the amount for a taxi ride.

A lot of things in this thread I wouldn't call OCD, I'd call common sense.
What upsets my wife the most isn't my OCD, but that I'm selective as to what I'm OCD about.

I straighten the shelves in the grocery store.

There's a new horse at the barn. She gets put in a stall every night. She's been there three days now, and this is the tag on her stall. I fixed it. I don't know the owner, haven't met them yet. But it bugged me. That's gold poster board from Hobby Lobby and vinyl cut on the Cricut. I made another one for the horse in the stall next to her. That one didn't have a plate. I don't know that owner either, but I've said "hi" to her a couple times.

I approve of this particular "OCD" affliction. I do that myself.

I like the nameplate. "True". Will the broken molding be enough to trigger more repair work?

I could work for 10 years and not repair all the broken wood in this barn. Even my OCD has limits. From what I can figure out, this place was converted from a dairy farm to a horse stable about 28 years ago. Maybe a little less. They built a small arena, then joined the arena to the main barn with a building that holds 8 stalls. Then they build a larger arena, and it is lettered like a dressage arena. But I think all the repairs stopped 5 - 10 years ago. There's a light bulb out in the small arena, and that does bug me. But it's 15 - 16 feet in the air. I think there's also a high bay lamp out in the main arena. That should probably be converted to LED, but maybe they don't have enough boarded horses to have much revenue left over for repairs and upgrades.

I will admit I have 12 knives, 12 forks, 12 teaspoons and 12 tablespoons. If one gets misplaced I freak out a little until it is replaced. It's a discontinued pattern, so I might pay $5 for a single fork to complete the set, rather than spending the same money to buy more of a different pattern. Same with the plates and bowls. The wife managed to break a Corelle dinner plate, but there's a old guy nearby with a pole barn full of discontinued Corelle patterns. Right now there's only 3 small whiskey glasses that we use for juice, I haven't been able to find a 4th one, and believe me I'm scoured the local second hand shops. The thing is, if you watch most any old western, it's the same glass they use in most every bar, so it must be a common one. Just haven't hit upon a used one. I might have to buy a different set of 4 and hide these 3 from myself.
