Nope. 53 here and as I type this I have a heating pad on my back, ice on my knee and I’m covered in Bengay. Bad choices caught up to me in the last couple years. The house always wins.

I am 67 soon to be 68 . Yes I am old but to me it's just a number . I am slower but so far so good . Positive mental attitude helps . Don't sweat the small stuff . Enjoy every day as it's your last .

I turned 61 a couple of months ago. I don't feel old, but sometimes I look in the mirror or see myself in a picture and I think "that guy is old!". I am very active (weight lifting, mountain biking, hiking, etc.) and I have noticed over the last couple of years that I have a lot more aches and pains. Every day it is something.

I'm turning 58 in a week and would never describe myself as old and don't think I ever will. My goal is to get to 90s-100 on genetics and then up to 150 with science. There's way too much to do still.

Never
Sit
Down

You'll never feel old.

I describe myself as old (out loud) anytime there is another person under 50 nearby and I need to lift something.

I will be 63 in April and feel it, but am also pushing back as much as I can. I'll have my second old person surgery in a month. Joint removal in my left had due to arthritis. A few years back it was a knee scope for a bad meniscus and some arthritis in the knee. My bikes now have batteries to get me back easier from a hard ride. I have 5 kids and 6 grandkids to try and keep up with. They help keep me motivated. The first time I really felt old was in my 50s when at work I was hiring new staff younger than my kids.

I'm 62, and ya I describe my self as old, but I'm okay with that.
It's when I look in the mirror reality really sets in.
The other day a young person on the bus removed her stuff from the seat beside her so I could sit down. I looked at her and said "I guess that makes me a senior" and smiled. She just gave me a blank look.

Yeah, I have been this way for the past 20 years.

Everything stated above is true, no doubt. But, as 72 is coming in a few weeks, I see myself as "older", not so much as old. Older is the state where you keep finding interesting things all around, still learning, still curious.

Old? I don't know, YET. It will come.

Though I never requested it, I am grateful for all of the life I was gifted and all that it has granted me. It is, to say the least, an "interesting" journey.

Keep pushing, stay curious, be fearless (as best you can) and enjoy your ability to grouse about it all!

(Oh, and drive "deliberately", as fast is age related.)

I agree with all of this. I’m 57 and in my head I’m 20 something. I laugh if people think I don’t “act my age”….life is for living and we aren’t here that long. Be optimistic, kind, and above all have fun - everything else will work itself out. I hope to never, ever become a curmudgeon. If I’m not laughing, I’m not living. Of course physically the perils of aging are impossible to ignore, but that just is what it is.

I love this!!!

there is(was) two old guys in my neighborhood. one has smeared tattoos on droopy skin..the other dude is healthier by a mile. healthy dude is tough to talk to. negative as heck. complains about people. has literally yelled at a kid to get out of his yard!!!

grouchy finally moved. I took him and his wife out for pizza to say goodbye. a double date with my wife. showered them with kindness. they were both awkward at our gesture. the rest of the neighbors were, "why did you do that for that a-hole?"...I dont know the answer. he emails me on occasion, and he is still complaining about his new neighbors. ahhahah

I much prefer the nice guy. he is moving so slow now.. he likes my sourdough.

live well people. my first half of my life..I wouldn't like that person much. my wife changed me.

its just a number...and OP. stop worrying about what other think about you...it is mostly what you think they are thinking about you. 90%, nobody is thinking about you. hahahha..

I'm 71 years young. The only time I call myself old is when I'm working guys half my age into the ground. I say can't keep up with an old man? They ask how do you do it? I say the trick is to never stop. Finish one project, then on to the next. The old man keeps knockin but I refuse to let him in

I turned 60 in September. I have been blessed with good genes and don't have any chronic aches and pains, not on any medications whatsoever, and still in decent shape I guess. People at work never believe me when I tell them my age, always saying that they thought I was in my 40s or early 50s, some ask to see my ID, even family members forget how much older I am than they are until I start talking about something that happened before they were born, lol. My wife is 12 years younger than I so, I used to say she was what kept me young, but she has also contributed to my aging a bit, lol. I walk a lot at work, in fact, I park about a half mile from where I work because I want to walk. People are always asking me why I park where I do, I jokingly tell them that I like the long walk and it helps me to maintain "this"!!! Lol. Do I consider myself to be old? Sometimes, but anyway, Happy Birthday to you guys and gals, no matter how you feel, every day above ground is a good day!!!

I've been a curmudgeon for the past 30 years, according to the EXPERT in the house.

I'm 70 years older than my twin grandsons are, almost to the day. They turn 5 next May. Makes it easier for me to remember how old they are when their birthday rolls around, which is the day after mine.

What were we talking about here?

I revel in getting to 70 and embrace the Yiddish term alter kaker.

That pretty much says it as well as I could. I don't have balance problems whatsoever and I don't do 4 mile hikes, but looking in the mirror makes me wonder why I don't feel like I look. And when I see pics on myself... well I don't even want to think that's how O come off to others.
