Might want to go over it for potential soft spots in case you do put chairs out there. A leg through the wood that topples a person won't work out well. There might even be a code about slope for tables and chairs.
Honestly, I'd really talk to some folks in your town that recently opened up a food place. They have stories. Hell, I had stories building out a few food establishments in the 80's. I ran, not walked, back to residential after dealing with the health dept. Check this out: I put some doors in an industrial building that was to be used as a church. I had to get the fire dept, the building dept and the police dept all to sign off. The police were only concerned about the locks. This was also in the 80's. These double doors (fire dept) had to be sequential in how they closed and latched (police). There was a mechanism that held up one door until the other latched. Panic bar hardware that would open either door. It took hours just to install all the hardware. |
