Not a penny in well over 20 years now. My haircuts happen in the shower...with a Gillette razor.

My beard, on the other hand...I pay about $35 for.

I've been going to the same barbershop for decades...think it's $15 for a regular old man cut...I always pay 20. Just grateful the shop survived the lockdown...

I have a Wahl clipper set and used to cut my kid's hair. Wifey says no more of that.

One of the things that they always ask around here is.."Do you want your eyebrows trimmed?"
I never say no.

My mom still does it. She was a hairdresser till us kids were born then she worked at the school and did house calls. Finally gave up her license a few years ago she doesnt do it any more so no reason to keep renewing it.

I think it is $22 + $8 tip, so all in for $30. Been going there for about 20 years. It started at $12 + tip.

My wife cuts my hair. In theory, free, in practice, my barber is doing way better than anyone does it for a living

$30+ $5 tip. Family owned place that has been around for a long time. No squirrelly high fashion stuff just always a decent haircut from good people.

$0.00. That's the benefit of being mostly bald. Braun clipper and no appointment.

^^^Local one man shop that does nothing but traditional cuts for older guys books every 30 minutes. You can hardly get an appt with him. He is good but he won't follow any specific instructions that you might have. So he's routine and has it down pat. If you want more like a shave you have to book the time or you don't get it. If you do w/o advance notice it will be a hasty job. No comforts at all. No coffee or coddling with hot towels. Just cuts.

In my DIY case it's kind of hard to say because I'm setting up a power cord to outside and a mirror. Then the dogs want a hair cut too. And it is their clippers after all. So probably 20 minutes or a bit longer.

15 or. 20 minutes is my guess, I haven’t actually checked my watch though. They schedule 30 minute blocks, so they can take walk ins would be my guess.

They also only let you schedule that day or the next on their website.

$25,no tip. Local lady does it with scissors and comb. I keep my hair longish. Keep those effin electric clippers away from me! Brings back bad memories of military style cuts on board ship. Electric clippers, about 30 seconds for a cut. Haven’t been around electric clippers for over 60 years.
