One good thing I can say about this winter is it finally got buyers for my scraper blade off their butts. I've had this brand-new blade on Cl since July. There was no interest until last week, then I got 3 hits.
We had a wet snow, that melted and then the temperature dropped 30 degrees and it snowed. Naturally, that's the day a guy bought it and wanted it delivered - on the coldest day in 10 years. Ha! Not today buddy - it's below 0 out there. He wanted it badly enough to come and get it, but I helped him load it. The barn door was frozen to the ground, and it took half an hour to unfreeze it and get the tractor out. I had to get it out to clear the driveway anyway, so it wasn't a huge burden to help him, but couldn't he have looked at the weather report and come to get it before we had to work in snow and ice?

We hit over 40F yesterday and had some rain last night with the temps still around 37F this morning, so I washed my car in the driveway as the salt crud was annoying me.

Earlier forecast was calling for afternoon snow, but that has been downgraded to a small chance and looking at below zero tomorrow.

Maybe my car is going to stay clean for a bit?

It blasted through here this morning. It was 43° at 10 o’clock this morning and by noon it was down to 23. And the wind blowing between 50–60 miles an hour.

What a week. We’re having a replay of the snow-over-ice fun Tuesday. Fifty three degrees and heavy rain at the moment, with temperatures dropping to the low 20s overnight and rain changing to snow.

Woke up to a steady rain and a temp of 31f.
My evergreen trees that have branches normally 6ft high....are touching the ground full of ice.

No traffic at all in the last two hours down my road. Supposed to get up to 34 by noon.

We had the perfect Christmas weather. It was 78 degrees and sunny on Christmas day. I wore shorts and a polo shirt to the family Christmas gathering.

79 On Christmas is a billion time better than a white Christmas!

We had to use the AC on the trip home.

36F here in MN this morning with noticeably wetness on the ground and my car. I kitted up and put on my old running shoes for a 4 mile run.

My driveway was fine, but holy the streets were slippery and I almost fell on my arse. Well I guess the run will have to wait until later...

We had fog and drizzle for the last two days. But today is sunny and going to be 60° out! Crazy winter weather we are having. Going to go out for a motorcycle ride today.

It's been 32.1 F for the last 4 hrs.....but the freezing rain has stopped.
On the way to get the mail, I had both feet slip out on my paver walkway. They went behind me, so I landed on both hands forward. No injury, but my left wrist is sore.

Glad you didn’t get badly hurt. Next time may I suggest driving the new John Deer to the mailbox?

Christmas morning the ground here was bare. It started with flurries as we left to visit the MIL. By noon there were wheel tracks on the main road. By evening it started to drift. This morning part of my driveway was almost bare, but I removed about 8 inches of powder off the solar panels. I effing hate winter.

We hit a new record high of 80 today. Winter comes back on Sunday, dang it. Mid 20s, and on Monday 25 with a high of on 38.

Another layer of new snow on top of the freezing rain yesterday. Roads have been treated, but the gravel roads are treacherous.
