I was curious if that was a Chambers.. The backsplash threw me off , Mine has a black iron top. Broiler, three burners, and a well, and no casters....

Are the casters added on? custom, aftermarket?

My grandfather bought the stove in 1941.....

Whoa. In about 1970 I became friends with a man named Schoenfeld (“beautiful field” in German) from Brooklyn who retired to the Catskills. He was too young to have delivered a stove in 1941, but he was the scion of a retailer of some sort. I wonder …
I was there staying with friends escaping “the city.” We bonded because I was a farm kid and he hated the city and wanted to live in the country.

I was born exactly 9 years after this order was written.

Wow, very cool! Based on a website that gives the value of a dollar over time, that $184.50 in 1941 would be like $4,068.06 today.

Ours is a 1951 model C. Yours is a model B. I think the black enamel tops are very cool. Chambers made a few different models (with various options in each model). Model B were '39-48 with a gap for WWII. They made a BZ in '48 which had a few upgrades over the B, and then the model C like ours from '50 until around '59.

from Models Of CHAMBERS Products
Quote:
All "B" models had the same basic body, but they added amenities to the backsplash as the price went up, culminating in the 15B.

Note the all-chrome handles and backsplash. Some "B"s had no drop-down top, but most did. Some "B" models had black enameled tops, but most had chrome handles and thumblatches.
Yes, the casters were an add-on, and are great if you want/need to move the stove. They are a very simple bolt on other than needing to lift the oven to do it. The only issue is that with them on, the skirt doesn't attach the way that it normally would. But for me, the casters are more important than the skirt mounting. I bought the specific (first gen) casters in this video below. The skirt may fit better if I used the original threaded mounting hole. I may (or may not) tinker with that.

This guy restores and sells Chambers (and other old stoves) and has a slew of videos on various Chambers topics.
This is a video by him where he talks about the caster recommendation and the fact that the folks that made/sold the first casters that he recommended have redesigned them to be improved and offer a 30% discount on them.

He's also got a video on the model B. - https://youtu.be/URq22Dtbayc

And since you've got the receipt, you've probably got any paperwork that came with the stove too, but if not, then here's are the manuals in electronic formats (PDF, epub, etc...).
