Too bad we're not close to Los Ponchos in TJ. Those guys were great! I bought the paint for the 911SC (101 projects car) in San Diego (Urethane & Clear Coat) and it was great.

Exactly. I said the metallic has a clear coat and you started talking about your 914 for some reason... Unless it's paint for trucks etc, metallics have a clear coat.

That is out of my wheel house for sure.
But I do know this, depending on who done what , and if it is clear coated, some painters add some flake to the first coat of clear for a deeper look. There are all kinds of tricks to most trades. I will say, just aply the paint, and see what you get. Its just paint. We all learn from mistakes. If you can, show an experienced painter your part and get some advice first.
