No, too many differences. I think the Corolla is closer.

Oh! I see the details you reference now that I found my reader specs... Do you have a correction device to see a joke when one runs by?

Nope, I’m not that smart.

Per Google AI, it's probably a Lexus?

None of the above. I find AI to be essentially useless.

Thanks for all the help, I consider this matter closed.

The box has been sealed and filed away, in perpetuity.

So, why the need to ID this car? What did they do? "he asked him knowingly"!

I was asked by someone else to help identify it. He was looking at it in possible conjunction with a criminal act and I think that possibility has been ruled out by other means.

I looked at identifying it for a while, came up empty and thought I'd ask the greater Pelican Investigative Community for their help, as they can answer about anything in short order.

Took 3 minutes to get there.

I have no idea what that car is and it really puts it in stark relief how generic car styling has become. When I was a child in the ‘60s and early’70s, I could identify the year/make/model of almost any car on the road. 100% on domestic cars going back to the ‘50s. I used to study the Motors Manuals, (remember those?), down at the gas station that had a photo of the front end view of each year of each model. This was from the olden days when cars did not have stickers in the door jam telling you the date of manufacture. It was like I was studying for some crazy auto SAT test that doesn’t exist…I was a weird kid. I’m a weird adult.

I used to know all of that, too. Subscribed to all the US and UK car mags, except Motor Trend, which I found worthless.

Nowadays, I haven't read any of them in years and I have less than zero interest in any new cars they put out.

I agree, and include current SUV styling as generic too.

What even IS an SUV at this point? Now that we have "crossovers" and "hybrids" and all the rest...

"Jack of all trades, master of none" garbage, from where I sit.
