60*F in Idaho yesterday and gorgeous sunshine. So nice I took the fun car out for a Sunday afternoon romp before real winter sets in. We are having CA temps in December due to tropical waves being driven north. La Nina pattern I guess.

I think it's colder than usual here in Fresno, CA. Been foggy for a few weeks and highs in the 40's.

Since we seem to be talking abut the weather, I went rock climbing yesterday at Castle Rock State Park in the Santa Cruz Mountains north of Santa Cruz, and it was 70 degrees! So, all good here.

Drippy and grey here. Have a fire going. Not motivated to do much. Wife has a nasty cold. Made a nice pizza for dinner last night. All is well. No complaints.

A little pre-Christmas stress in the household...
Both my wife and myself are finishing up teaching for the semester added to the anxiety of our son making his applications to universities across Canada.
He did get an acceptance letter from Western in Ontario which was the school of his choice.
Wife is very happy with this turn of events and it will be an exciting time for him living away for the first time.
Looking forward to the Christmas break.

My favorite weather report of all time was the Anchorage Daily News stating Fairbanks was Minus 57F and precipitation was ice-fog.

That sticks with a guy living in Houston.

Doing very well, thank you. In town and this morning I saw an old fellow struggling to upright a stack of cork boards he had bumped against. I stepped over and righted the stack and recognized a man who had been in our jive dance chasses 25 years ago. When I enquired how he was doing, he responded he was still adjusting to the pace maker he received two weeks ago.

Welcome back fella! How are you doing? We are still trucking along, about the same as ever. Vash had a burst of posting for a while, so that was cool. Now we've got you back too.

It got "cold" here on Monday. I had a horrible morning with pain after my hip replacement. Being a little concerned, I called the Dr just to make sure I didn't need to come in for a check up. The nurse literally told me that my pain could have been caused by the temperature drop and the huge hunk of metal in my hip/leg. I always thought that was an old wife's tale.
