I would go buy a '98 993 Turbo S coupe, a 246 Dino GTS, and then a few hot rods to complete the garage. Oh, and get our main driveway re-paved.

came up zeros. hahahha..

I would donate HALF right away, hoping for a tax break. I know where, but that between me and my future billions...hahahh. hate for you all to label me more.

I had thought about a very large house in Wimbledon, England. But with the way things are there, I'm reconsidering that. I'd hate to show up to said house and find it taken over by the government for 'other people' to live in since it isn't occupied 24/7.

On another note. There is a local Basilica here in San Antonio that is in dire need of repair. Built just after 1900 and is absolutely stunning. The cost of repairs is north of $40 mil USD if I'm correct. The plan is to pay it in full in some trust or similar.

My list (in rough order of operations):

- Don't say a word to anybody; contact my attorney and tax guy.
- Make a plan to take the lump sum and squirrel it away into various tax-advantaged accounts best we can. Set up trusts for ourselves/the kids/nieces/nephews.
- Get my mom situated in a place where she can live out her life without worry.
- Make anonymous gifts to some friends and local organizations that need the help.
- Buy a chunk of remote land and set up the off-grid compound/fortress - move in when ready...

I have always wanted to convert a dilapidated firehouse into a posh home. garage space for days. giant ass kitchen. huge living spaces, and my bathroom would be palatial.

I would keep the brass pole for quick exits for sure.

This question pops up every now and then...

...usually when the prize is huge. This time I have an answer:
  1. Not in any order but done quickly
  2. Buy a semi isolated house on CA's Central Coast fully done in period, preferably Spanish Monterey Colonial, inside and out
  3. Buy 2 vintage Ferrari's from Norbert Hofer, keep one in his shop and rotate
  4. Become a small venture capitalist
  5. Become a Mike Rowe type visiting small businesses that are up and running but need financial help
  6. Build a complete prototype and restoration shop; staff it with 2 full time employees/engineers
  7. Hire 5 staff for the house 50% time on, 50% time off, days, weeks, etc., their choice of schedule; salary 200K each (they would need to have multi task capabilities and look extremely presentable, stylish, even good looking)
  8. Buy something from Dempsey Motorsports
  9. Stay busy as hell

1. Family security. Kids, grandkids taken care of in trusts.
2. Leave NY
3. Set up foundation for education and health.
4. On going donations to St. Jude and others.
Oh, 1A, get good lawyer and change name.

All my truly good friends would be set, only family I got that isn't already very well off financially is my meth head brother so if not set then at least I'd ensure he can't lose what little he's got

And then a whole bunch of giving and endowing with Conditions

In no particular order. Based on watching you guys from the sidelines.

Buy Vash a stand mixer, then go hunt and or fish w him.

Spend a few weeks in the Pacific NW with Skip.

Spend time on the farm w Seahawk.

Find an appropriate way to show David how much I appreciated his help w my top end refresh.

I really need to do all of the above whether I had a billion or not.

A few years ago my tweaker brother in law got a low six figures inheritance. Last we heard he was broke and back in jail for blowing off a court date. Short of hiring goons to follow him around and beat up every dealer he approaches I can’t think of anything.

a trust can own a house and keep the taxes paid and lights on, etc.

He's got a house... with a lovely fern garden on the garage roof that has been growing for decades, a wall or two infested with bees, same wall further on is so sagged teh door has popped the frame, etc.

Behind on taxes too...

So I figure the least I could do is make sure he's got a warm dry place to live

Buy me a new pair of running shoe then a small pick up truck with the biggest or highest hp engine. After that, become a bigger azzhold, aint giving nobody nothing but I will give all of you guys an Antigravity battery for one of your cars. Yes, I like them that much and never have to hear about your bad batteries again. Muhahahahah.

Almost forgot. I must buy Paul a couple of new tools or a new tool box. He seems to really like 'em tools

Too late now, but my plan was to fly our 3 kids here and sign the ticket together so we can split it four ways. Otherwise, As I understand it, I would have to pay tax on my winnings, and then they would have to pay tax on what I gave to them. Screw that.
Then I was going to distribute my 1/4 to the Pelican brain trust. Sorry guys.

Seriously, Vicki is always looking at old Victorian and Federalist houses and dreaming about remodeling them. So I would start buying houses for her to redo.

Yes, giving away the lion's share would be mandatory for me to keep my sanity because I would always know that it was windfall and I didn't earn it. Maybe set aside $2-5M for a very comfortable lifestyle funded by compound interest and use the rest to create something magnificent. A live music performance center or other community center including maintenance funding forever via compound interest comes to mind. I don't play lotto so I have not thought about this much but giving away 95% would keep me grounded... I think.

I would get a decent place to live in, like that one:

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/0-Standish-St-Duxbury-MA-02332/438769813_zpid/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare

And a Singer to putter around.

Nothing too fancy.
