My Ruger came with the red dot in the pic I posted above but I have rarely used it. When I used to compete in a .22 fun league weekly shoot I just used the iron sights.

I have a 10/22 as well that the kids used to plink with when they were growing up. Nothing fancy, some newer anniversary model that was inexpensive.
Also have an 1890, that is from my grandmothers side of the family but I do not know much about it. It needs a little love. My ex-FIL has a few 22's, I know one of them is a Woodsman, I am not sure on the other. Have a buddy who is really into 22's and has built up a ton of them. |

OK ... methinks a Ruger Mark IV Standard with a 6" bbl is the one .... and I do have a Ruger LC9S that I've been happy with for years
.Any reason why not.... ?

Love to shoot .22 with my 14yo son. We have a standard mark 3 ruger, a mark 4 hunter, and a k-17 S&W revolver from the 1970s I think. The rugers are really nice especially with the mark 4, so easy to disassemble. Its a tank though which is both good and bad I guess.
our latest acquisition, a bit pricy I think we paid about $800 but a really nice and beautiful firearm ![]() All of these guns are more accurate than I am.
