250,000!
250,000!
No, not dollars, but I just turned 250,000 miles on my 2014 F150. This is the longest time I’ve held onto a vehicle and drove this many miles. I was comparing it to 10 times around the equator, and to the moon. Now I’m on the way back from the moon. What about you?

My 2010 Honda Fit had 260K on it when I traded it in on my 22 Civic.
The gal that ended up with it has almost 300K on it now...still runs great...she says. I remember the days when 100K miles was unusual. .

Wow! I'm forgetting...is that one of the 5.0 years with the 2 piece spark plug problem? Any major problems to remember?

I just did my 390,000 mile oil change on my 1986 El Camino a couple of weeks ago. The original 305 went 300,000 miles so I be should be good for 600K before I need a new engine. It is still my daily driver.

G'day!

Congrats! That's a lot of miles for an '14!
My '02 Silverado 4.8L Vortec is only around 245K right now. Still purrs like a kitten!

I did have a 2001 F150 with the two piece, spark plugs, but I never had a problem. I traded that one in at 225K for the 2014. The only real problem I’ve had is last summer, the oil pressure got low at idle, and it shuts off the engine. I’ve bumped up the idle a couple hundred RPMs, and it’s been good so far. I have a new Ford engine in the garage and I’m debating to preemptively replace the engine, or wait until the engine blows up. |
