Drive To Survive
The new season of Drive to Survive just started on Netflix. Scarpetta starts March
3rd on Amazon Prime. Based on the Patricia Cornwall novels. Starring Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis. Should be good. The books were excellent. |

The first season was a treat for an F1 fan like me.. And each season after that got progressively less interesting but still watchable. This season 8 was the first one to be a bit of a yawn, in fact I had a great in/out nap somewhere between ep6-7 lulled by the turbo engines, and I don't think I'll bother rewinding ;-) 8 EP only and you could tell, some stories got completely swept under the carpet.
The booing of Horner was interesting, I did not recall that from the season intro, it was painful to watch (even though I never liked the guy, cringey). But after that they never really mention why he was let go mid season, totally sidestepped the allegations/reputation and made it like it was only performance of the team. Nothing on Ferrari, zero on Haas, very little about Hadjar who was the revelation of the season for me... I did like that Doohan got to expose the Argentinian fan threats, that alone will turn me off ever supporting Colapinto..(and that we saw how Briatore behaves - I bet he's not gonna be loved in Argentina either).Dunno, I'm always grateful for more F1 stuff to consume but this season of DTS was by a mile the least interesting to me. I hope we get an actual F1 season now, not sure if all the teams will make Australia as they usually have a lot of stuff transiting via Dubai and there was a tire test in the region last week, we already know Aston will barely take part in the first race (hello and retire to save the engine), and it's doubtful the following middle east races will happen... (And as a side note, hearing Will Buxton calling Indycar racing means I am not going to make watching IndyCar racing a priority. At least as annoying as Leigh Diffy ever was to my ears. As bad as Paul Page bickering with Bobby Unser was, this announcer team is worse.)

Seems each announcer team has shouty guy but the current F1Tv lineup (alex jacques) is slightly more tolerable vs Crofty or Buxton. I still miss Varsha and Hobbs. |

Watching D to S now. Always good to see Max struggle.
