The Bride
I've been waiting for months for this movie. It could have been brilliant, certainly both Christian Bale's and Jessie Buckley's performances were, they were over the top and the only reason to see it, and for the vast majority, only when streaming. Unfortunately the story started out in chaos, composed itself albeit sloppily and just when you were willing to forgive the start, it ran out of steam, and interest. And the entire thing suffered from a fatal flaw with Mary Shelley's spirit interjected throughout. I get it. It didn't work. It had great energy but was ultimately a mess that deserved a better director and a better script. Christian Bale and Jessie Buckley were enthralling though, so raw and powerful.

Looks like Max gets it in April to rent/buy, then streams for free in late May- early June.

I'll watch it when it is available free to stream.
Looks like a weird mashup of two or three movies, and doesn't look great.

Thank you Milt. I so wanted this to be a great movie. Given the actors, it should have been phenomenal.
