As an early teen, my next door neighbor (and cousin) bought a black ‘68 Camaro. In retrospect, that changed my world forever. Weird how stuff like that works.

My Redcoat, 1976 Triumph TR6. She is my first car and I got her when I was a senior in high-school. So many stories, many things learned surrounding this car. So glad I have her back in my life.

Hobie's is the #1 story in my book....getting his first car back.

Still owning your first car, and such a great car, is quite impressive. Wow.

As a VW driver I was often at the dealership drooling at the Porsches. Back then the dealership was a VW, Porsche & Audi dealership. I saw the first 914 in 1970 and the price was not crazy. It took me four years of working one full time photography job, shooting weddings on Saturdays in the spring and coaching films for Jr. high Thursday nights, High school on Friday nights, and Saturdays for college games. Those films alone made me more than my regular job, but it was football season only.

I did save up enough to go into the dealership at age 19 and order "my" 914. It was $6,742 bucks.

I still look just like that, except now I have a beard.

This one is not mine, but is very close to it.

A Gremlin was far from being a decent car. But, it was mine. They had quirks that all of the owners had to accept and deal with.

Many, many great memories about things that took place inside that car.

Thanks, and if you read my posts about her you will get the whole story. I don't want to mess up this thread but there was a 35 year gap between my ownership.
