Who's your favorite "Online" chef?

So many choices, but

Who's your favorite "Online" (Not TV personality) chef?

My favorites

Simone Remoli

Bob Morano

Vincenzo's Plate

Ok maybe a TV classic but always great

And Joshua Weissman might be annoying to a few but there's always great info

Alton Brown. The guy explains everything from a molecular level.

It's been years since "Yan Can Cook" was on PBS. The guy is a comedian as well. I didn't even watch too carefully what he was preparing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Yan

3500 episodes? Jeez, he buried Huell Howser who was prolific. (Howser is not well known beyond California as he focused on the state's cities, geography and events)

I also enjoyed Yan Can Cook. Would probably be considered politically incorrect these days, but so would mylar balloons.... Not sure who buried Huell Howser, but I am sure he's no longer with us

I've been enjoying Coco Larkin -cocolarkincooks
Especially her "peasant series" recipes.
A few simple ingredients.
Short videos for my short attention span.

This reminded me of another PBS cook (Had to look him up) his name was Justin Wilson and his nickname was The Cajun Chef. Had a good sense of humor, cooked simple cajun meals.

But my favorite was always "The Great Chefs"; the cameras would follow various chefs at different restaurants while a disembodied voice described the creation of a meal, usually from appetizer to dessert. I learned what a salamander was, because it seemed like if you had a Michelin star, your entrees needed to go into the salamander for a quick blast of heat.

" Great Chefs"
That was a fantastic series.... They told you exactly what ingredients, spices, etc... showed technique..

None of this bullschiess "I cant tell you or I'll have to kill you" describing spice mixes

You could find it on Netflix a few years ago...

And those competitive cooking shows...

Oh I forgot about Guga!

Guga's steak videos are great because there's always a 'control' steak to compare to his goofy experiments.

online chefs. easy.

Brian Lagerstrom. dude teaches and preaches. I usually use his stuff as my jumping off point and take it from there.

least favorite. that Kenji dude. I just dont vibe off his ass. his man-bun period was the worst.

some of you all are mentioning people off the food channel.

I also watch this Japanese fisherman guy. super "on the nose" YT channel called "Japanese fisherman". a commercial fisherman that cooks on his boat. no recipes, and it is all in Japanese, but I can glean enough info to learn from him. he changed my Miso Soup game profoundly.

Justin Wilson was a hoot. Hell, I'd even watch Emeril. He had good pace. I did watch Alton Brown for quite a while. And the (used to be) kid from England. The rest can go scramble eggs.

Jamie something, The Naked Chef. He made it look pretty easy to prepare a meal.

Alton's first show was a good watch; I lost complete interest after cooking became a competition and he followed that money.

I like Jess Pryles. She also has a show called Hardcore Carnivore on the Outdoor Channel.

Yep, Jamie. 100% on your thought about cooking shows becoming more of a Gordon Ramsey schtick. Then there was the one about arriving at a house and taking a chance of what was in the fridge and pantry. Like that wasn't staged. They'd fall flat on their face here.
