Ardex is not going to work as a finish floor over OSB. If you can't carpet or put down some kind of actual flooring product then paint it and live with it. It won't be ideal but you have ruled out everything that is better so just go ahead and do what you're gonna do. It won't hurt anything or prevent you or future owners from doing something better.

Neither am I.

Should really do vinyl. My daughter and I did the little ADU cabin they rent out on their property. She did the kitchen/dining area on her own and I did the bathroom as I was basically updating that whole room for her before the next tenet moved in.

Consider the time invested in prepping and painting the OSB vs laying the Vinyl,, No brainer.

Looking great.

I couldn't agree more, LVT would be my choice. Cheap, easy to install and somewhat water proof. When it gets slopping wet, it doesn't dry under there so nasty things starts to grow. I am not talking spilling a glass of water but leaks that flood half the floor and that normally doesn't happen.

IDK - just asking for future reference.

Doesn't LVP scratch up really easily? I thought that was the biggest negative - any traffic and it looks like crap quickly, and can't be refinished.

It does not scratch easily. I sell and install this stuff for a living. When I'm showing samples and someone asks that question I take my truck keys out of my pocket and say go ahead, see if you can scratch it. They can't make a mark no matter how hard they try

So good and bad news...
LVP was purchased and installed in just over half of the cabin.
LOVE the stuff! Easy to install, looks awesome, really tough stuff.
However....
The hickory stuff I bought looks great but doesn't match the pine ceilings and trim.
Hickory looked a lot more yellow but is mostly Grey and white.
Do NOT like.
So....
Eat the half day and ~$600, rip it up and start over.
Or learn to like it.

Im leaning towards ripping it up.

Matching everything is boring. Overly cautious people end up in blah houses. It's a cabin and go with a little funk. Use some colorful paint to accent trim, some colorful art work to jazz up the joint and the ceiling/ floor thing will disappear

My thought as well. By the time the furniture and some rugs are put back along with additional decor, what floor? Even outstanding base boards make a huge difference as they separate the floor from the walls AFA the eye is concerned. Window treatments and art work, what floor?

Absolutely right Greg.

I wanted to add a section on to my driveway but found out the color pattern of the existing pavers had been discontinued.

My hardscape contractor showed me the alternatives and didn't feel any of them came close enough. I told him "Hey, sometimes you gotta wear a polka-dot shirt with striped pants".

It ended up working out fine and no complaints from HOA.

Different wood tones work out fine when part of the structure, it's the rugs, furniture and artwork that pull the room together.

In my cabin I have yellow pine floors, knotty cedar ceiling and pecky cedar walls. Cabinets are all stain grade wood of various varieties. 5 different species of wood in one room I believe. I used corrugated metal roofing I painted black for behind the stove and propane fridge. A total mishmash and everyone loves it
