Anyone seen any of the July 4th quarters

Has anyone seen the new limited edition quarters?

I’m going to go to a bank and buy a few rolls of quarters to see if I can get a few for the grandsons.

I heard they were very limited distribution. Only a few areas get them, and limited production. That may be pure BS, and it sure make some people rich selling them at above face value.

June 23, 2026

WASHINGTON, June 23, 2026 — The United States Mint (Mint) will produce 250,000 Semiquincentennial 2026 Declaration of Independence Quarters featuring a special "July 4th" privy mark in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. Bearing no mint mark, these unique quarters will be placed randomly into circulation, offering Americans a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to discover a piece of history in everyday transactions.

“This is more than a coin; it’s a defining moment in our nation’s story,” said Mint Director Paul Hollis. “We hope Americans enjoy the search for these iconic quarters as they’re meant to be shared, saved, and remembered as part of this historic anniversary.”

Randomly mixed in with other 2026 Declaration of Independence Quarters, these 250,000 special “July 4” quarters will be made available to banks and financial institutions nationwide in time for the Fourth of July. Customers can learn more about all the Semiquincentennial coins and medals by visiting the Mint’s website

After getting $20 worth of quarters at the launder mat a couple weeks back to wash a couple rugs and dog beds of which I used like 8 bucks of. I could not help but notice that I did not recognize but like 6-7 editions and all the others were new offerings.

I used another $10 on the drier cycle, so I only had 8 left.....

I did a little research earlier this year when Turtle Steve posted about one of the newer ones. Since they came out with the "state" quarters (which included DC and the territories, so there were 56 of them) they have come out with more, so there have been about 140 Washington quarters (same design 1932 - 1998 except for the bi-centennial)

And per the mint website, these are the circulating quarters (not including the "privy" quarter)



and they even have some new style circulating nickel, dime, and half dollars.



and apparently, the next big thing is "American states innovation" dollar coins.



I don't have any ideas that any of this stuff would help me plan for retirement, but my oldest grandson has an interest in coins. When I was a kid his age, I had an interest and even "collected".

Also cool, but those are different. There are semiquincentennial quarters (what you have) and July 4th Privy quarters which are a new limited edition quarter that were released to be out for today. I don't know that you've received any of those yet.

I haven’t carried cash or coins in decades.

Years ago, when everybody did carry money, I would bring my pocket change home and put in a 5 gallon water jug. We filled it up one time, and used it for our gas money, on a one month trip around the USA

I used to tend bar, and so most of my income was in quarters and dollars. I did the same with quarters. We didn't wait until the jug was full, but did end up with $200-300 worth of quarters. I've got a glass jar that may be a quart on my desk that's full of change. I need to empty it. I'm not expecting it to be worth much, maybe $20-30, or absolute max $50.

There are still a lot of folks that do carry cash. I also don't. I have some at home, but don't carry it.

No, I don't have any of those, just the three that I pictured.
I thought they were all part of the 250th celebration.
