What the hell is this?

I have a search alert on CL for anything and everything BMW E28 related (a car they stopped making in the '80's). This just showed up a few minutes ago. What's weird is I've ramped up the work I've been doing on my (84) E28 in the last couple of weeks. What's weirder is this listing originated not much more than a couple of miles where I live. Me-thinks bots are scraping the internet and creating this as content, or else I'm getting paranoid and I'd better be fitting my head for tinfoil.

To say this makes no sense is the biggest understatement of the day.

Brand new 300k e28!

I’d be tempted to park across the street and see what happens.

It looks like a prank. Or a crank. To me, it seems too creative to be a bot.

This is the most "I know what I got" ad I have ever seen.

The fact that he is on NE Sandy? It fits. These are the people I grew up with. Crazy. Stupid. And armed.

Also, my Buddy's Dad worked for Rasmussen BMW for years and years. He scored a sweet MT 535 for another buddy of mine. Unfortunately the Dad is gone as is the car. I wish I could help.

- Someones idea of a joke?

Do you remember that ad on Ebay for that ultra rare Porsche 911 prototype?
It was actually a nothing special purple 74 but there were lots of photos of under dash chalk marks etc.

I wonder if he ever sold that car.

LOL. Just some dude with too much to drink and an axe to grind about e28 price escalation and seller attitudes.

That's funny! I'd be bummed too if I'da flubbed the opportunity for a covid-era windfall.

You're probably right. It's just the coincidence of me doing a lot of internet research lately on the e28 and this unhinged rant...
