Good call Jeremy!
I used to go there (White Sands on Sanibel) every year before Charly hit. We stayed at Cane Palm over on Estero a few weeks back, the first time I have been back there after all the rebuilding. It was amazing to see that Sanibel and Captiva are now joined by a land bridge, where the pass used to be! There were a couple of days while we were there that the storms just kept rolling in one after another. You can just see the palm trees and sea grapes bending in the wind in the lighthouse pic, this one was taken from the breezeway at Cane Palm when another one of the storms rolled in:

Actually, just after I took the picture of the lighthouse, I saw one of the coolest things ever. We were just standing there, looking at a rain shaft over the water when a bolt of lightning struck open water about 200 yards off the beach, I have never seen a steam plume shoot up like that before! Truely amazing. Of course that's when we decided to head inland!

Very cool key. Did it start off as the one on the right? If so, how did you get it round?

I've made a key (for a small master lock brand padlock) by using a high quality xerox copy of the key and some poster board. Cut the key out with a razor blade, ran the paper key thru the key duplicator and had a working metal key. Took about 10 minutes.

The 2 houses in the pic were wiped out in Charlie. Lighthouse is still there.

Friend took this pic on a recent trip to Italy. I believe this is in Florence.

Yup just like the one on the right. Round was the easy part i just used a washer and traced around it and ground it down with a bench grinder. Its not perfect but pretty close :)

Hmm, they must have rebuilt them, as that photo was taken about 2 weeks ago :)

This lovely piece of "raw lumber" fell down in our last set of storms here in Indiana, the trunk is about 3 1/2 to 4 feet in diameter, and the top branch missed my shop by less than 10 feet  And the "little" maple tree that is bent into the arc... it's about 9" in diameter!
