OK, so is fungus a hobby? If so, tell us more (maybe another thread) and more pics.
The result of a google search for the word "photo" and was on the first page. Random, but also not so much. At least this one doesn't have any extra holes. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/n...-photo_big.jpg |
i do have more pictures. i take the fifth.... ;)
i also have some mushrooms growing outside, related to portobello's (which incidentally are the same mushroom, more or less, as the common button mushrooms you get at the grocery store), growing where we had a maple tree removed. they are growing on the remainder of the stump, etc., still in the ground. my friend ate one and said it was delicious. my sterilized gloves and sterilized field: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1245808982.jpg |
That's actually pretty cool... how much does it cost to grow the oyster mushrooms? Those things are crazy expensive at my local Whole Foods.
|
it'll probably cost $50 to get started. if you do it right and get a handle on how it works, you can propagate indefinitely for CHEAP.
