I am actually old enough to have done Navy gun fire support, in a helo, for BB's.

Amazing stuff. "Left 20, down 5, fire for effect."

Spine tingling to watch the BB's go to work from 3k AGL, off the bow, right hand orbit.

Edit: I landed on the Missouri during Desert S/S, also the New Jersey. An absolute highlight.
