I'm really not getting "the angle" or "the message" on this one, and I've got a good head for advertising design, copywriting, and "the hook."

If their tagline about "all movies now on your iphone" in combination with this artwork is supposed to make people think of the movie "Titanic," they sure missed the boat.

Anybody else got an ideas what was going on in the art director's mind? Maybe it was an ubertight deadline and the guy was lazy and just whipped something out.

Is the giant finger supposed to be "the user's" finger ordering a movie on his iphone?

I'm going with a bad take on the Titanic angle. Still, doesn't really make much sense.

I would say that that is the message. Their legal probably told them that Cameron might claim copyright on a 4 stack moonlight Titanic image, so they lost 2 of the funnels.
