South African resourcefulness at its best!

I have had one balut...during a Chiefs initiation in the '80's, I was the, "Defense Attorney" for my detachments lead Petty Officer, who had been selected for Chief.

During the coarse of my impassioned defense, I somehow painted myself into a balute corner.

My honor was at stake.

I wish it hadn't been...the weirdest thing I have ever had.

What am I missing? Where is the barrel on that gun? (I'm not a gun guy)

That is where I had reluctantly consumed balut as well, NEVER, EVER AGAIN! ( hence the picture of projectile vomiting on my post.)

I looked up that "balut"....ug I want to barf thinking about it.

Can say I would want to eat a partially developed bird! I guess if I was hungry, I mean really hungry.

My dad ate a balut during his chief's initiation too.
