ah, the Renault Espace. driven by french soccer moms from hell. haven't seen one of those in about a decade

cegerer 02-08-2004 02:32 PM

I can't remember where I got the photo, but as I recall that Espace was built by Williams Grand Prix Engineering and features a Renault F1 motor.

ronin 02-08-2004 02:38 PM

yep. don't remember the stats but didn't it have somewhere near 800 hp? (or something insane like that)

I think the Espace was a F1 car in disguise....full 'chassis' etc of the Williams F! car with a rasied driver position......pretty quick too..

}{arlequin 02-09-2004 07:54 AM

Espace is in the "World's Fastest Cars" video. All carbon fiber. 4 buckets and the engine inside (mid) behind the 2 rear seats. Not surprisingly it was tremendously noisy inside :)

exactly. happens occasionally around here. a friend of mine once lost a 172 when another pilot let his own plane get away from him by deciding to leave the cockpit(!!!) while the engine was running!! the plane began to roll forward and headed for other parked planes. the guy panicked and actually tried to stop the plane by hand. he slipped and was subsequently chewed up by his own prop. after that, the plane rolled towards my friend's plane and slowly chewed it to ribbons. literally! fortunately my friend was at home at the time
