My mother was born in Norman, but about a decade after that picture was taken. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1316549550.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1316549568.jpg |

Fast forward to simpler times, all we had to worry about was nuclear war and getting some.

Since we are on a theme of school photos. My wife is one of the girls in the picture. What horrible conditions, an un-air conditioned school with 33 kids in one class. How could anyone learn. I would bet than almost every kid in that class had more education in the 6th grade than most high school seniors of today. I never went to an air conditioned school either. |

I also noticed there were only a few older kids in that pic from Dacoma even though it lists grades 6-7-8.
I'm guessing by the time they finished 6th or 7th it was time to go to work to help support the family. Life was simpler back then, but much harder. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1316612618.jpg |
