I'm thinking '77......they played a freebie in the Quad at Glendale College that year and the Glendale Civic, a solo event that wasn't sold out.....they released the first album in '78. THEN they got hot......

I first heard of them when I got out of an Economics class and saw them setting up. I used to see Roth around town in his lead sled....I'm thinking it was a slammed 50s Mercury. I remember the hand painted black widows on the door frame.
