Did anybody wonder if they had the whole place covered?
Look just to the right of the guy. It's fuzzy enough that it made me wonder if it was some kind of a reflection, but it's at a steeper angle, and I'm sure they had four up there... as well as four shooters... they'd have to if they were serious about it. Quote:

he's on the south-west side of Lucas Oil Stadium. i'm sure there were others located on each corner/side of the stadium in the catwalk. Notice the Indy Metro Police handbook up there, ha!

It didn't materialize as the Gulf war soon ended, but what a ride that would have been! Mark |

Not sure of the usefulness of a sniper in that position and situation. Great for observation, but any situation in that environment would be very fluid, I can't even imagine who could give final authority to shoot let alone confidentially expect to hit the intended target.

better to have the men there with the capacity to take out a terrorist during an attack than to leave it open to "hope" that it won't happen.
If someone next to them takes a bullet too, eh, one extra life down to save a hundred thousand: price well paid. Someone breaks into my house with a weapon, I'd kill them, not shoot them. I wont rely on a millisecond of "hope" that he doesn't hurt my family. |
