I think that look was considered sexy by turtles in the '20s.

Yep... Pictures from our honeymoon...

Started in Solvang... visited the stables in the country...

Los Olivos...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1335538404.jpg

Finished in Morro bay...

View from our room... kinda funny... we were there for New Years Eve... got up at midnight and went out to the balcony. The town was silent, then the guy on the dredging barge walks out and fires off a flare. The extent of our "wild" NYE in Morro bay... but we found other ways to amuse ourselves. ;)

^^ Nope.

widebody911 04-27-2012 08:00 AM

MacDill

cashflyer 04-27-2012 08:03 AM

I don't think MacDill was ever a B52 base.
Or are those something else in the photo?

I would have guessed Kadena, but I suppose it could be Burpelson Air Force Base.

Special operations forces stressed, commander says

URY914 04-27-2012 08:26 AM

Yes MacDill. Rumor that back in the Cold War days there were B-52 there. Those are KC refuelers. My dad was stationed when they had B-17's.

Those are KC135's. We used to have them and KC-10's before they pulled the tankers from BAFB. Just 52's and A-10's here now.

In-laws live across the street from the miniture horses, fun to watch as people slam on their brakes to stop and see them.

Used to "live" on a boat in Morro Bay on the weekends. Once the dredges were across the channel from us and the gnawing sound was 24/7 below the waterline. Crew was a bunch of laughs, good guys.

They sucked in a bouy that sank, guess it scared the sh** out of the crew until the got it out of the mouth of the dredge.
