Wow. Not just the towers but that old train station. Probably a terminus with a ferry that connected to lower Manhattan. Any more info on what exactly this is and when? Probably '70s?

Edit: Looks like the terminus of the Central Railroad of New Jersey. Historic Aerials (dot com) shows it in its former glory in the '30s and '40s. Google Earth Street View reveals that this terminal structure is still there.

I've seen one of those in person, but the one that I saw pretty much only had the fins left. It didn't even have the vestiges of the braking surface left like that one does.

I've also had someone bring a set of pads back for return because they were defective after they did this.
