An organization that I have done some volunteering for and hope to spend more time and energy with in the coming years. Really helps the Vets with PTSD and battle injuries to overcome some obstacles and start to heal....

That particular plane was a special one of a kind B-36... was being tested to be nuclear powered. If it worked, it would be able to stay aloft for weeks without refueling.

XB-36H

Contained a nuclear reactor and would have had nuclear powered engines.

It never ended up being nuclear powered, but flew with the reactor operating a number of times.
