If a B-1 is going fast enough you don't hear it coming! In full afterburner it burns 80,000 pounds of fuel per hour. I used to fly the KC-135R and was co-located with two B-1 squadrons. I never got tired of the roar of a B-1 full-blower departure. Jet noise, especially from something like a B-1, truly is the sound of freedom!

One of our eagles from our teaching zoo... they were supposed to be done having eggs/breeding, and haven't had any in a few years, but there was a supprise for the zookeepers this morning...

No good pic of the nest, bad angle from where I could stand.

We're about to put up a live stream of parts of the zoo should anyone care to donate :)
