How does a car like that make it through the annual inspection? I saw a guy with a car like that filled up with beer cans. Lots of beer cans.

Interesting fellow, that Chuck Barris was: Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) - IMDb
No comment on his vehicular tastes.

We actually have (I should say HAD) a bunch of parts on that ship coming from a supplier in the UK, I guess they won't be here on time! Wonder if our stuff was on the half that sunk or the half that burned and than sank?!

What causes a ship like that break in half?

MOL Comfort Breaks In Two Off Yemen, Salvage Firm Contracted [UPDATE 6] | gCaptain

From a naval architecture standpoint, this is a puzzling situation. Ships are designed to handle long period and large waves that crest on the bow and stern and have a trough amidships. This creates a sagging situation that puts extreme tension on the keel and compression at deck level. The opposite, “hogging” situation occurs when the crest of the wave moves to the center of the ship and the trough of the waves are at bow and stern. The repeat flexing of the ship in these perfectly timed waves is likely what caused the loss of this vessel.

Years of poor or non-existent maintenance resulting in enough corrosion to weaken the hull? Combined with being loaded with the heaviest containers at the extreme ends and lighter ones in the center? Just a guess.

In over 30 years of drag racing and showing cars, today I won the best trophey ever. I won Bella's choice from over 100 really nice hot rods. Bella is 8 years old and has bone cancer. This car show was a benefit for her and her family.
