I used to listen to Ladd a lot. Talked on his show many times as well. He and I often disagreed, but unlike most of today's big mouthed leftists Ladd would actually listen at least. And since we had musical tastes in common it was all good.

I heard him the night Reagan was shot, and I remember he had a lot of sympathy as well as insights into the mentally ill that need help - even when they are from wealthy families. Seems prescient today...
