Good taste in music Mr Higgins.

Never figured you were into prog rock.

Soundtrack of my youth.

Congrats - you got some of the names, just not in the right order...

ZZ Top (not my post)
Gentle Giant
King Crimson
Genesis
The Nice
Arthur Brown

I've got everything these band recorded (and in some cases, continue to record). I was buying this music when all of my friends were into way more mundane, "top 40" kind of stuff. Or, at best, Zeppelin, Sabbath, etc. I've always been a huge fan, but back then we called it "acid rock".

John Mayall, tough one considering the extensive line up changes, John far left
Savoy Brown, obscure one for sure, admittedly had to google that one
Foghat

Very good...

Denny went on to play drums for Heart after Mike Derosier left.
Sammy did a couple songs on his own.

Yep, exactly correct. I remember reading "local motors" on the thing. I just thought that was the name of a car club or something.

It was actually very cool, and now that I've checked out the website, it sounds pretty cool. I think I'd want a manual trans instead of an auto, but other than that...

Little Feat - I've got every album they made before Lowell George passed away. Waiting for Columbus is probably one of the best live albums ever. They just released a re-mastered version, featuring the rest of the set they were playing on that tour. Highly recommended.
