Early shot of The Wedge?

Hi Jim.....no it's the Ponce De Leon inlet, located about a 15 minute walk from me.

This pic is a construction photo when the Army Corp of Engineers put in the 2 jetties back in the 60's.

The section in the photo has been covered up by sand for years and years as the currents shifted in response to the jetties. Here's a more modern perspective.....

Over the years there have been multiple dredging operations to open up the channel and things can get real squirrely...and not in a good way....you just can't screw with Mother Ocean you know.....
