Thanks for the explanation on the origin. I had no idea that this breed even existed, until Mattdavis11 asked about them. The horns and different coat patterns really make these guys stand out. Around our place, due to the ongoing drought, we have several young bucks looking for food and water. These guys have the beginnings of some big and beautiful racks. Although nothing like the pictures shown of the Fallow deer, they are still beutiful. At least they are until rutting season, then they check out mentally., just like us when we see some beutiful females walk by, lol. I don't think the average Joe realizes how really inexpensive an old 150 can be to purchase these days. I learned to fly in a 150 before I went to helicopters - fun, cheap transportation.
A 152 with the "bigger" engine...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437848467.jpg |

Great dash from an old Dusey on the net:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437864988.jpg The one labeled Brakes - would that be pounds of hydraulic pressure? Wouldn't it change when you pushed on it? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437865040.jpg Max and Min - vacuum boost? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437865104.jpg I love the chronograph - did these things get rallyed? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437864406.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437864482.jpg It must have been pretty slick to have an altimeter in your automobile way back then! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437865196.jpg IMO They don't appear to have been too worried about overheating - that's one of the smallest gauges, and BITD the cars most mere mortals drove overheated a LOT! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437865246.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437864516.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1437864539.jpg |

They had a high fenced pen for fallow deer and blackbuck antelope, I was in charge of assuring the animals had proper foliage and supplemental feed to ensure general health and enhanced antler growth. Of course, I had a crew of residents that assisted, which was really cool. Hopefully the facility has some athletes I will recognize in the games. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ale_female.jpg |
