Here is everything I love about that picture:

- Carter was, by all accounts, a fine Naval Officer.
- Cigar.
- Dixie Cups.
- The ring knocker.
- Ties and jackets.
- Three people looking at the same thing when one would do. They are at periscope depth so I am sure they have an instruction that covers the joys of redundant effort.
- This is an USN sub...look how tiny it is. Not a habitat for humanity. Carter was 5'9". Yikes.
