One of the coolest things I ever experienced was riding my motorcycle across the GGB at night in the fog. I stood up to get away from the lights on the dash and had only the glow of the bridge lamps and the bridge itself disappearing into the mist. This pic just reminded me. Thanks.

I note that's a new Explorer, with the filler on the passenger side.

I mention this as I too have a new Explorer. It's the first time I've had a right hand filler since my last Benz.

It occurs to me that this is easier to do with a passenger side filler and a trip inside the station for a drink or to use the restroom. You return to the driver's side of the vehicle and drive away, never seeing the hose.

Under the heading of full disclosure, I just did this in my 2016 Explorer. I tried to pay for it and the employee said they have their own crew to fix it and that the parts are usually fine - they are apparently designed for the type of abuse I heaped up it.
