Forever 47¢ | Book of 20

In 2016, the U.S. Postal Service® celebrates pickup trucks, the rugged and reliable work vehicles that Americans have driven for nearly a century. Each of the four stamps in the Pickup Trucks series features one of the following iconic models: the 1938 International Harvester D-2, the 1948 Ford F-1, the 1953 Chevrolet, and the 1965 Ford F-100.

Artist Chris Lyons used Adobe Illustrator to create stylized renderings of the pickup trucks. On each stamp, the name and model year of the truck are featured in the top left corner over the words “FOREVER USA.” Art director Antonio Alcalá designed the stamps.

Hey Bryan, I lived on Key Biscayne for 2 years, 67, 68. Loved every minute of it. Went through a few hurricanes, but not bad ones.

I was grocery shopping on Sunday when I heard a child repeat that phrase. The boy was about 6 or 7 and the father was talking to him about the football games and point spreads. Then asked him what his record was.

Those are postage stamps. So that somebody doesn't print that picture, and try to make/use those as stamps

Yep. We wanted to announce the availability of these in our magazine and had to go around and around with the USPS to get permission to show them. The forbade us to just scan the stamps and publish the image. We had to use the USPS's photo with the marked out "Forever."
