When You Land On The Wrong Carrier!

US Naval tradition dictates that when a pilot mistakenly lands on the wrong aircraft carrier... fellow crew members do their absolute best to remain discrete so as not to embarrass the pilot.

Yet It has been rumoured that in some extremely rare and unusual circumstances, some sailors took it upon themselves to take advantage of the poor pilot's misfortunate navigational error, and make sure their mistake did not go unnoticed. Imagine the embarrassment and horrors in having to return to your Boat with all the markings of your misadventure on display for all to see.

Sammy, above, has pics of a Cougar (gray) and 2 Panthers (blue).

Thanks for fixing my obvious goof. That's what happens when I don't take time to see which page I was reading from.

Best

I tried to watch, but couldn't finish the first video.
She interrupted him every single time he dared to say anything. He looked neutered. Poor guy.

That grey one is at a local park and I played on and in it when I was a kid.
It was still in metal then and I could sit in the cockpit and climb in where the engine was supposed to go. Then someone decided it was not safe because little Jimmy might cut his finger on the aluminum, so they coated the whole darned thing in concrete.
Ticked me off.

The Graffiti was from landing the navy plane at an air force base and staying over night. Pilots really tried to make sure that such a thing didn't happen for just such reasons. Not always avoidable because of weather and fuel loads.
