LOL I remember ,that thing would get cooking in direct sunlight.

Sure was cool though for a little kid to get to climb in and around a real fighter jet.....
Stuff was more fun back then. Just about every kid in the neighborhood had a BB gun.

My childhood neighbor (reportedly) flew this one. It was located in a small park just south of the Great Plains Zoo in Sioux Falls. For me, seeing and looking/sitting in it was a highlight of each grade school springtime field trip. However, I also recall being disappointed that is was the ugliest military aircraft I'd ever seen.

Just to be sure everyone knows, that is NOT me with a Coors Light and A1 Steak sauce there. I don't eat steaks that are so bad they need A1 and I will only drink Coors Light if it is cold free beer at a buddies house and that is all there is.

LOL I like a-1 sauce and I don't drink, but when I did curs light was my favorite beer.
No style or taste points for me.

Good steaks don't need any sort of sauce. Maybe a sprinkle of black pepper.

When you eat at Peter Lugers, after you order the Waiter will bring a bottle of Pete Lugers steak sauce and set it on the table, and usually quips something to the effect "Now don't be putting any of that on the steak!"

Though a nice Chimichurri pairs well with a good steak

Dry aged bone in strip sous vide then browned, with Chimichurri

Hmm, I always really liked the F-89 Scorpion... even built a model. Looked menacing.

Dunno...I was a WWII aircraft model building kid so my bedroom ceiling had a B-17, a B-29, Corsairs, Mustangs, Me109s, and Fw190s suspended from it. By comparison, F-89s aren't exactly pretty...not to a me as a kid anyway. Monogram was my favorite so sent money to Morton Grove, IL on a regular basis. Spent a lot of time pouring over their catalog every time it showed up.

My dad got tired of the messes from spilled Testors glue and paint so he converted a closet into a model building station. I vividly remember feeling (what I now understand to be) totally stoned after one session in that hell hole with no ventilation. It felt awful and I still hate the smell of that stuff.
