Hmmmm

After finally looking at the car in the Grandma poster, I doubt it's a Mustang. They had the gas cap in the rear back in that era...so, what kind of car is it?

asphaltgambler 02-26-2019 11:38 AM

Pretty sure 1 of my ex's read this, knew it thoroughly, then used it on me...................she was a redhead BTW.......

^^^Nope. Grandma's car appears to have 4 doors.

Jolly Amaranto 02-26-2019 11:55 AM

Looks like a 4 door car to me. Maybe a Falcon?

Yep, rear door quarter window matches.

Jolly Amaranto 02-26-2019 12:13 PM

Some earlier models did not have the blinker/marker lights behind the front bumper or the chrome trim along the side.

That is what the name badge on the fender looks like but that photo is of an Aussie model so who knows what they called them. Pretty sure it was a Falcon in Grandma's photo.

Aussie here: Falcon, although the higher trim models were Fairmonts.
The Falcon GT had a 351 cu inch V8. The 'Phase III' GTs (Superoos) were racing homologation models that were at the time the fastest 4 door cars in the world.

There is an Australia logo on the lower left.

Kinda funny the meme maker uses "Mustang GT" on a picture without a Mustang.

My grandma on my moms side was born in a farmhouse in Driftwood, OK. Her dad got the property in the land run of 1889 when he was a teenager. I am pretty sure neither of them wore miniskirts and they both loved Lawrence Welk not the Beatles.

So Grandma's car was probably still pretty hot, even if it was a 4 door. The meme photo is also an Aussie photo. As mentioned the logo behind the word "Never". Note the absence of a rear view mirror on the left side.

Your google skills and utter lack of specific knowledge have failed you again, kach. Does it ever get old, making yourself out to be such a flippin' idiot? Why do you feel such a need to chime in, when it is so obvious you have no idea what you are talking about?

The car you show is a '69. '64-'66 'Cudas were the "bubble window" variety, which would be clearly shown in the photo of grandma's car - if it had one. That, and grandma's car is clearly a sedan - a four door. All 'Cudas were coupes or ragtops - two doors.

Here is a bubble window 'Cuda, produced from '64 through '66.
