You've never repaired a toilet I guess-or depends what part of the world you live-in the US most toilet tanks have that plunger/valve to stop the water after you flush

Note: after trying to quote the pic of the object, only the sunset pic got quoted-

Have repaired toilets before and no it is not my dayjob.
Mechanism is a bit different I guess.

The flapper valves are popular mostly because they are super simple to replace. They don't last long and often leak water at a constant rate. But they are really simple to replace and cheap to buy, so they sell a lot of them.

We have a much better system for our toilets at our house.

This spill sat at work for a week. None of the little fragile, entitled Millennial lazy phucs addressed it. Of even fessed up to hitting it and punching a hole in a Steele drum. And here I thought the “Not me ghost” moved out with our youngest son. I think it just relocated to my work. Five years and counting..........tic tock

That has got to be a heavy rig to carry around. Looks like something from a Predator movie. But....

^^Shouldn't that be in green? :D

Probably had much more to do with laziness than any kind of skill....if that's real.

You'd prob need 2 separate boxes. One metal, the other plastic. The plastic one has the screw contacting a hot, the metal box is properly grounded.

More work to make this happen than just using the correct stuff to begin with.

Like I said, if it's real.
