997 - A definite improvement. My gripes: needs the intake at the top of the hood and the very rear end -- I don't know how to say this -- should be turned down some. Um... take the rear clip at the body seam just above the taillights and turn it downward, (if it's at 30 degrees above horizontal now, make it like 10 degrees). This would elongate the tail a bit, and effectively reduce the upturned angle of the lower valence. Once that's done, you could slide the signals down further. I obviously don't know the language of car design.
CJ -- where are the air inlets and door mirror again? :D JP |
I'm with OS on this one. The back end just doesn't look right, and I don't know how to fix it, but something just looks ... wrong. IMHO, the trend, the eyeline, the flow of the eye across the back of the car should be horizontal. 10 deg up, as OS suggests, may even be too much -- 10 deg down maybe even better? Don't know, but I'm sure it'll be offered as an aftermarket option sooner or later. :)

Eric -- I'm on the fence about the nose; initially I was going to say it looked too pointy, but I guess I thought more was "wrong" with the tail. I like your revision though.
If you're a photoshop guru, can you "fix" the tail so that the same horizontal line along the bottom of the car remains to the tail, and the piece between the seam above the taillight and the lower edge of the rear valence is enlarged? It really looks like some giant sat on the tail of the car, lifting the nose into the air and bending the rear of it upwards, from the bottom up. JP |
better, now we need some 18" Fuchs and a duck ;)

I like your revision to the nose length. Now, need to roll the body cleanly underneath and get rid of those ugly turned up valence panels. I would like a traditional 911 hood with the air vent and as othes have said, more upright headlights.
Then please, have it delivered to my door with an RSR motor in it! Thanks, Troy |
OK, here is EVO II:

Hmmm ... now that I think about it, I prefer the original back end. The modified one looks too ... fat? The skinnier front looks ok, though. Just my two pennies...

Ok, I started a new 997 photochop thread on the main board.
