Morrissey is a whiny little B!tch! They Smiths could have been a great band if not for that pansy. Makes me want to puke!

With all respect to all Smiths fans, (Myself Included) I always felt that all Morrissey really needs is a cheeseburger and a really good lay.....

A few that I haven't seen mentioned:

The Chameleons (UK). One of the best bands to come out of England, who released a bunch of records but got zero attention stateside.

New Model Army. Ditto, plus the bass playing was incredible.

OMD. (Don't laugh.) Before they made it big via John Hughes movies, they released some very dark and moving synth pop.

Yup Love Tubeway Army or anything involving Gary Numan. I first discovered him in 1980 on a K-Tel Records album called "Rock 80" which my granny bought me and I still have. My first record. It also had The Ramones and Blondie on it. At 8 years old, it got me started down the right path

No mention of Jane' Addiction by anyone?

Yea, you know what? they are not 80s? definitely born in the 70s but early 80s Motorhead is awsome.

Good to see Suicidal Tendencies on a list. I still listen to them occasionally and LOVED them back then....I had all those satanic T-shirts that drove my teachers and mother crazy.

All I wanted was a pepsi but she wouldnt give it to me!!!!! hahaha:eek::eek:

ramonesfreak 02-12-2012 06:46 AM

some of my Gary Numan vinyl. The Pleasure Principle was my 2nd record I ever had.
