Ding! Ding! Ding! Yes: Corey Hart: every girl I knew (which totalled about 3 in those days -- sheesh ) loved that guy until they saw him walk. He was more bow-legged than a Tijuana...well...you know.

Another one-hit-wonder:

Men Without Hats

Wang Chung a "One Hit Wonder"?! Dang.
I've got two too many of their albums then.

Now Scritti Politti was a one hit wonder.

Listening to ABC's "When Smokey Sings (Miami Remix) right now.

Hmmm. How old do you have to be to still refer to them as "albums" if they're compact discs?

I was a big Faith No More fan, but not until the Angel Dust album was released in the mid 90's

I can't believe I forgot the Nirvana 'Bleach' album, the early White Zombie stuff, the two Ozzy albums with Randy Rhoads playing guitar ('Blizzard of Ozz' and 'Diary of a Madman'). I think AC/DC remade the same album half a dozen times in the 80s, but I always liked whatever they were calling it.

Lots of great stuff thru the 80's.
Elvis Costello.
Devo or Herbie Hancock may have been ahead of their time, but . . .

BlueSky.... GWAR!? Har har...

I remember when I first got out of college I was working my first Corporate job, suits, ties, financial corporation that was very "stuffy".

Well I was still in my "rebel' phase and I went to a GWAR concert one weekend. I was in the first row, and if you've ever been to a Gwar concert you know the fake (?) bodily fluids are sprayed all over the audience. They stain hair.

So I show up at the office on Monday with red and yellow splotches in my hair... No one asked me why though.

I think most of the songs were good and a small percentage were bad. Punk has lasted pretty well. Other indie stuff has lasted.

Duran Duran's still around. REM and Beastie Boys too, naming only a few of the top of my head...

Bryan Ferry was in concert at the Universal not too long ago.

LOL, you guys are giving me flashbacks to my teenage years.

I grew up in Daytona Beach back when they were still the spring break capitol of the world so I got to see a lot of those bands live at the bandshell when I was still a high schooler.

I <3 The 80s . . .

OK, I'm right there w/ you guys on practically every band listed but I have to say...

Morrissey is a whiny little B!tch! They Smiths could have been a great band if not for that pansy. Makes me want to puke!

Some other “poets” that I’m ashamed I ever listened to:

Depeche Mode – Taken a ride w/ my best friend in his ‘79 Camaro b/c we are young, stupid, and don’t know any better.

Tears for Fears – Shout, and give each other a friggin’ hug already!

Soft Cell – Hell yes it’s tainted, and isn’t it about time we admit it’s tainted b/c it’s a guy!

God I love Bombay Sapphire!

Anyone remember a band called Tubeway Army. Brit punk/synth band from late 70s and early 80s. Gary Numan was thier lead singer before becoming completely synth. I listened to a lot of that in high school. Loved the Police, Cars and a lot of other stuff that I am too embarrassed to admit to!
