Driving Pet Peeves

I quit getting pi$$ed at stupid drivers a few years ago. I drive 50k per year and finally realized that it doesn't change anything to get mad. So I just accept stupidity as another road obstacle, just like potholes and lane closures. Someone hogging the left lane? Smoothly and courteously pass them on the right. Right lane blocked? Slow down and wait or let the guy behind you ride his bumper until he moves over ..... sure makes those long drives much more enjoyable.

How abaout when you stop at a stop sign so some idiot on his cell phone can roll right through it without stopping. I didn't f....n stop so you could just blow through the sign.

I was actually IN a car that did that recently. Riding with my interior decorator, on our way to review some samples at a supplier. Apparently she was so fixated on the conversation that my screaming "Stop sign, STOP SIGN!!!!" didn't get her attention in time. Blows right through, looks over at me and says, "Ooops. Oh well...tee hee..."

She drives an Excursion. Wonder why....but that's another thread.

2 get me, people that insist that the following distance I'm leaving is a space in which to insert their vehicle, and the corollary, those fools that don't get that at rush hour if we'd all just drive whatever speed volume will allow we won't have to speed up, then come to a complete stop, then go 60 again.

1. People who don't use their turn signal because they are holding their phone to their ear.
2. People who lolly gag along talking and looking at the passenger, while waving their hands.
3. People passing multiple cars and making the on coming traffic take evasive action.
4. Throwing a cigarette or anything else out the window.
